poem – week 2

Finding the path

She thought that to be a trail blazer

you had to create an indelible course,

burning signs into the landscape.

Now she knows that the route

can be determined by subtle,

almost imperceptible chips in the bark.

The way ahead will then be there

for those that know what to look for,

those who can notice nuanced clues.

That way the tribe can grow slowly

and also they will get there in their own time.
